I have used bee cozy, home-made styrofoam, etc. but my favourite so far is the Wellington County corrugated polypropelyne wraps. They fold nicely for storage, last for years (I have not had one fail yet), do not absorb any water, and they are very easy to use.  You can buy them at most beekeeping supply stores.  All you do is make sure to buy the correct size and cut a few holes if/where you want ventilation or upper entrances.

    What do you think?
